TANKS WITHOUT LINER
CORGAL tanks are available without liners for those applications where a flexible membrane liner is not desired for water containment. These tanks are also called bottomless tanks. The linerless tanks are pre-engineered for water containment only. The linerless tanks consist of double-bolted and gasketed vertical and horizontal seams between the corrugated galvanized steel wall sheets. The bottom edge of the tank wall must be embedded into concrete in order for the tank to contain water. Linerless tanks generally will not have the service life of liner type tanks due to the corrosion that may develop on the steel sheets where they are embedded into concrete. However, a flexible membrane liner can be installed inside of the tank structure at a later date should leaks occur in the steel to concrete interface. |
